This policy explains how Strick Tech LLC ("Strick Tech", "we", "us") handles personal information in the consumer applications we publish and on stricktech.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version: our applications do not collect your personal information. We do not operate servers that hold your data, we do not sell or share anything, and we do not track you across applications or websites.
1. How our applications store data
Our applications are built on Apple's CloudKit. That means:
- content you create in an application is stored on your device and, where the application offers sync, in your own private iCloud database, tied to your Apple Account
- Strick Tech does not operate a server that receives, stores, or processes that content
- we cannot read, browse, export, or recover the contents of your private database, and no employee or contractor of ours has a way to do so
- where an application offers sign in, it uses your existing Apple Account rather than a Strick Tech account. We do not create, hold, or manage passwords
Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and your iCloud settings, not by us.
2. What we do not collect
Unless an application tells you otherwise at the moment it asks, we do not collect:
- your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- payment card numbers or bank details. Purchases run through Apple, and we receive only anonymous aggregate sales reporting
- precise or approximate location
- contacts, photos, health data, microphone, or camera data
- advertising identifiers, and we do no cross application or cross site tracking
- the content you create inside an application
We do not serve third party advertising, we do not use analytics or attribution SDKs, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
3. What Apple shares with us
As the publisher of an App Store application, we can see reporting that Apple prepares for developers. This is aggregated and does not identify you.
- App Analytics. Aggregate counts of downloads, sessions, and device or region breakdowns, and only where you have opted in to share analytics with developers in your device settings.
- Crash reports. If you have chosen to share crash and diagnostic data with developers, Apple may provide anonymized crash logs so we can fix defects.
- Sales reporting. Anonymous transaction and subscription counts. Apple does not give us your identity or your payment details.
You can turn analytics and crash sharing off at any time in device Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Analytics and Improvements.
4. If an application ever collects more
Some future application may need something we do not collect today, for example an email address for a feature you ask for, or a third party service to make a feature work. If that happens:
- that application will say so plainly, in the application, before it collects anything
- its App Store privacy label will reflect it
- this policy will be updated and the date at the top of the page will change
Where we do process personal information and the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract to provide the service, legitimate interests for stability and defect fixing, consent where you have granted a permission, and legal obligation where one applies.
5. Support messages
If you email us for support, we receive whatever you put in the message, including your email address. We use it to answer you and nothing else. Support email is kept for as long as it is useful for that purpose and then deleted.
6. Deleting your data
Because your content lives in your own iCloud account, you control it directly.
- Inside the application. Delete individual items, or use the reset or delete all data option where the application offers one.
- From iCloud. Open device Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then manage storage for the application, and delete its data. Deleting the application and its iCloud data removes it everywhere.
There is nothing on our side to delete, because we never held a copy. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write to privacy@stricktech.com and we will do it. See the support page for step by step detail.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, provide a copy of it, correct it, or delete it. In almost every case the answer will be that we hold nothing beyond any support email you have sent us.
If you are in California, you have the rights described under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights described under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@stricktech.com. We respond within 30 days and will not charge you for it.
8. Children
Age requirements vary by application and are stated on each application's App Store listing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and in the ordinary case we collect no personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support email, contact privacy@stricktech.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
The strongest security measure we take is not holding your data in the first place. Data in your private iCloud database is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and is protected by your Apple Account credentials. We keep our applications and their dependencies patched. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach ever affected personal information we hold, we would notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law.
10. Website visitors
Our website sets no advertising cookies and builds no cross site profiles. Our hosting provider keeps standard server request logs for security and reliability. If you submit the contact form, we receive what you typed and use it solely to reply to your inquiry.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we give notice inside the application or on this site before the change takes effect.
